The 2023 - 2024 Essex County Teacher of the Year is Shamshadeen Mayers, a former Social Science Teacher at Bloomfield High School in the Bloomfield School District. Mr. Mayers has recently been hired as Principal of the Watsessing School in the Bloomfield School District.
